THE WAIRARAPA CUP

Ruby Rocks (Burgundy) emerged victorious in this year’s Wairarapa Cup, kindly sponsored by TAB. The event took place on Waitangi Day, February 6th, at the Tauherenikau race grounds. Subsequently, at the Masterton Club Raceday on March 24th, she secured another win in the Masterton Cup, sponsored by Trust House. Hailing from the heart of Wairarapa and proudly owned by the Bindy One Syndicate, with breeder-trainer Roger Allen at the helm, Ruby Rocks has undergone meticulous training at Opaki – Masterton training track, and Roger Allen’s farm in Carterton. With eight victories out of 43 career starts and earnings exceeding $150,000, Allen expressed that achieving black-type status has become the primary goal for his prized mare.
