“We had a great stay at the Ranch house! The bathrooms were modern, clean and well stocked, and the showers were hot and had excellent water pressure.
Having a variety of single and twin single rooms, as well as double rooms suited us perfectly. Students commented that the beds were ‘springy’. The provided bedding was decent quality, clean and appropriate for the season.
The dining room next to the kitchen was the perfect size for our group. The kitchen has modern, clean ovens and all the basics you need.
We will be back next time we need accommodation in the area, and recommend it for school groups.
We even got a guided tour out to a giant kahikatea, which was so majestic. The management team looked after us well and responded quickly to provide any assistance we needed.”

“We had a birthday party in Greytown and our out-of-towners stayed at Tauherenikau. The beauty of this accommodation is in its simplicity. The rooms were warm and comfortable and it was lovely to wake up to the sound of paradise ducks and plovers. A true country experience with lots of history. There was a botanist among us who took us for a walk through the Tawa and Kahikatea trees. Tauherenikau is a magic place.”
