Our event line-up includes:
January 10-12 – Wairarapa Music in the Country
Featuring seventeen acts over three days and suitable for the whole family, the festival is jam-packed with musical talent, bringing some of New Zealand’s finest country artists to the Tauherenikau Racing and Event Centre! Tickets are on sale now.
February 6 – Waitangi Day Race Meet
Our second summer racing event, the Waitangi Day race meet, is another crowd-pleaser with great entertainment, great racing showcased in a one-of-a-kind venue. Fun for the whole family with kids entertainment options onsite. Gate admissions available.
March 22 – Masterton Racing Club
Masterton Racing Club hosts a popular Race Day at Tauherenikau each year in March. This Race Day is a great day out for all ages and another not to be missed day in the Wairarapa.
November 9 – Christmas Race Day
The Tauherenikau Christmas Raceday is quickly establishing itself as a tradition. Families and friends gather for a day of spirited horse racing, delicious cuisine, and the joyous lead-up to Christmas.
December 7 – Jet Sprints
Whether you’re a racing enthusiast or just looking for a day of extreme entertainment, our Jet Sprints offer an unforgettable experience for all. Bring your family and friends to witness the intense competition and cheer for your favorite teams as they navigate the challenging course.
December 10 – Twilight Races at Tauherenikau
Our second twilight race evening. Expect cocktails, beers, burgers, and a whole lot of fun under the setting sun! Book a place in our trackside marquee and enjoy the evening in comfort and style.
January 2 – New Years Race Meet
Attracting a crowd of more than ten thousand year after year, the New Years race meet is a cracker way to kick off our summer events season. A fun day for all ages, generations of families come along for the fantastic atmosphere, kids entertainment and racing! Gate admissions available.
