Stay with us this Easter weekend…

The perfect spot for a camping trip in the great outdoors – and right here in your own backyard!

The Tauherenikau Holiday Park is gem of a spot for your next family camping adventure. Whether you ride in style with your own motorhome or prefer to get a bit closer to nature and pitch a tent, there’s an option for you this Easter break.

Unpowered campsites

Starting from $20 per night (two people), our unpowered campsites are great options for tenting or self-contained motorhoming. Nestled among native bush with the Tauherenikau River nearby, these sites offer a complete escape from the hustle and bustle – and so close to home! Remove the endless ‘Are we there yets?’, the pesky pit stops and the long hours lost to the road and make the most of every minute of your long weekend.

Extra adults are $7.50 per night, children (under 15) $4.

All prices include full use of the facilities including Showers, Toilets, Kitchen and Dining, and the Laundry. There is potable water available from all taps.

You can book your stay online at the bottom of this page.

Motorhome hire options

Don’t have a motorhome or caravan of your own? No problem! We’ve partnered with Pacific Horizon Motorhomes (based in Wellington) to create some accommodation and vehicle rental packages that will work quite nicely. Find out more about the motorhomes available to hire here. As an added bonus, both the motorhomes available for hire and the Tauherenikau park site are dog-friendly, so your four-legged family member can come along too.

For more information on these package options and to book please contact Matt on wairarapa.racing@xtra.co.nz.
*You’ll need to collect your motorhome from Wellington and return their after your stay.
